How long does artificial turf last?

With proper installation and basic maintenance, our turf products typically last 15–20 years. High-traffic areas like pet runs may wear faster, but our dedicated Soco Pet and Pet Pro lines are built for sustained durability under heavy use.

Face weight measures only the yarn fiber weight per square yard — this directly determines density, softness, and quality feel. Total weight includes all backing materials. Our range spans from 45oz (Soco Blend) to 80oz (Soco Natural Pro and Olive Pro) at the premium end.

Absolutely. All SOCO Turf products use non-toxic, lead-free materials meeting or exceeding current safety standards. Soco Pet and Pet Pro feature advanced drainage and antimicrobial systems designed specifically for animals. SOCO Play Blend at 70oz provides maximum cushioning for play areas.

Many homeowners successfully complete their own installations using our materials package and expert guidance. We stock every supply needed — weed fabric, nails, seam tape, glue, bendaboard, and infill — and rent the equipment to make the process manageable. Complex grading or drainage challenges may benefit from professional help.

How hot does artificial turf get in Colorado summers?

Turf can run 30–50°F warmer than natural grass in direct sunlight. Shade, proper infill selection, and occasional light misting help significantly. Our lighter Spring and Emerald blends reflect more solar energy than darker varieties.

For most residential lawns, Premium Silica Sand is the most popular and cost-effective option. For pet areas, Wonderfill 12/20 Green rubber provides superior cushioning and odor control. Many installers use a blend of both depending on pile height and application type.

Yes — artificial turf installs directly over concrete using our Turf Claw Glue system. Clean and repair surface cracks first, then bond the perimeter and seams. Popular for patios, balconies, and commercial hardscapes. The perforated backing ensures proper water drainage.

Tour Putt features a precision ½” pile height engineered for consistent ball roll — compared to 1¼”–1¾” on residential products. This tight, short surface provides predictable putting speed and direction. The Emerald/Field colorway mirrors professional golf course putting surfaces.
